IMAZ Days 39-40: Tired, hungry, but well trained

Epilogue to Day 38 - got in a 26 minute swim, felt great. Afternoon must have something to do with it...I'm always more loose later in the day.

Day 39 - designed to make up for the shortfall on Day 38. Started off with 65 minutes of swimming that included a bunch of 200s, a 500 and ended with a 1000 in 15 minutes (trying to stick to 3:00/200). Felt pretty good, so good that I did a really nice 45 minute run in cool temps after. I just ran, not worrying about pace and felt really good, especially considering the workout the morning before. Later in the day, >1:40 of biking, not too fast but mostly steady and stayed in big ring throughout, maintaining on hills. Total for day: 3:30.

Day 40 - 2 hours running on trails. I dreaded a solitary run a bit, but it actually became somewhat zen-like, me and the pace (and deer, wild turkeys, geese, chipmunks, cows, a mule, hogs and a hedgehog). I ran easily, taking endurolytes every 25 minutes with a drink mix (it was a bit humid) and felt fine, even got a second wind at 1:30. Recovered VERY well and felt OK the rest of the day except for the fact I was STARVING most of it.
