IMAZ Day 16 - a break from the bike

One (normal human working person) can't ride 50 miles EVERY day, and so today (well, yesterday -- didn't have time for the entry yesterday so I'm writing it this morning on Day 17...shhh) was "only" a swim and run day. 3600yds in the morning split up as 4x250, 1x1000, 10x100 and various drills and rests between and after. The highlight was the 1000, an easy 14:26 feeling very good and rhythmic. The run was about 12 hours later and run on trails, a welcome respite from the pavement (and tracks) I'd been on for a few days. It was simple - an hour run at about 7 minute pace, maybe a bit under in spots. Again, it was good because it was flowing and without that much effort, just a regular turnover. It was more humid than I'd thought, and perhaps some bring-along drinks might have been smart, but it was fine and I refueled with gatorade afterward.
