Los Angeles, CA: Acting quickly in light of recent "issues", Disney/ABC has canceled a future project with Mel Gibson, noted drunk anti-semite, about the Holocaust. Gibson, who in recent years has taken on a religious flair with "The Passion of Christ" and other spiritually motivated (though we're not sure which type of spirits) movies, recently went on a drunk and proceeded to badmouth Jews the world over as he was being cited for DUI. Incredulously, he even asked if his (soon to be) arresting officers were Jewish, a question that easily substituted for a sobriety test given his location and the general makeup of the LAPD.
With this proposed project now canceled, other potential Gibson vehicles are also likely to be canned:
- a new ad series for Manishevitz with the tag line, "It's sweet...like me."
- an off-broadway production of "Goys and Dolls"
- an off-off broadway production of "Schindler's List" in which Schindler turns in his Jewish factory workers
- A documentary entitled "Mengele: A Misunderstood Man of Science"
Disney/ABC blamed the cancellation of the proposed Holocaust movie on the lack of a script after two years of waiting. "Oh yeah, that and the antisemetic statements while he was plastered," admitted a studio exec.
